Covet Dance owner, Sharene Santos, is the designer behind the rebranding of Joffrey Ballet School. Her boutique design firm, Pi Design, manages all print and web design. Naturally, the tie-in with Covet Dance was seamless; Joffrey Ballet School has a need (apparel and logowear) and Sharene just happens to own Covet Dance, a dance apparel and accessories company. Voila!
This year we amped up the number of designs and uniforms to meet JBS’s ever-expanding student roster and new courses! In addition to designing the graphics for their 2015 Summer Intensives logowear collection, we also took on; art direction, photography, social media, and the design and development of Joffrey Wear–a capsule collection of activewear manufactured in Los Angeles, California.
The graphic tee collection gives a slight nod to vintage Americana athletic tees with an 80’s Flashdance feel. The most popular shapes were the flowy muscle tanks, cropped tees and boxy tanks.
The Joffrey Wear dancewear collection is refined and classic with modern enhancements like banded booty shorts and criss cross bra tops that stay put and allow for movement.
Social media for the summer intensives was a blast! We worked closely with the JBS PR firm, dance instructors and art directors to launch the collection to thousands of JBS newcomers.
Working with such an iconic brand has been a feather our cap! We launched our custom department, Covet Custom, from the coattails of our success with Joffrey Ballet School. Covet Custom specializes in dance studio branding and graphic design for all of your dance needs (big or small). custom@covetdance.com | www.covetcustom.com
